Approachable medium-roast coffee supports local mutual aid pantries in Worcester, MA

Over a year in the making, 910 Coffee is an exciting installment on Rainy Day Coffee’s commitment to worldbuilding. For every two bags of 910 Coffee sold, one bag goes into mutual aid pantries maintained by Woo Fridge in Worcester, MA.

Rainy Day Coffee believes that each of us should be able to access what we need, free from gatekeeping and without sacrificing our dignity. Woo Fridge embodies this belief, making them a perfect partner for this project.

For years, Woo Fridge had been getting consistent requests for coffee but had a hard time getting coffee into their pantries consistently. At the same time, coffee is frequently produced under exploitative and environmentally destructive conditions. Rainy Day Coffee and Woo Fridge leadership connected over a desire to help stock the pantries with high-quality, ethically-sourced product.

910 Coffee is grown by the Warmikuna Women’s Collective in Junin, Peru, which uses regenerative practices and holds a commitment to community leadership. Woo Fridge organizers selected 910 in a blind cupping, not knowing its origins!

Our most immediately familiar roast, 910 Coffee features notes of chocolate, brown sugar and dried fruit. Roasted for approachability, this coffee will delight your grandfather, your coffee snob friend and your activist neighbor alike.

You can engage in this effort in a number of ways:

    • Pick up a bag of 910 Coffee for your home, workplace or community setting. Subscription available for recurring pickup (available in Worcester, Williamstown and North Adams, MA)
